IN OUR BACKYARD (IOB) is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit leader dedicated to the fight against sex and labor trafficking. In 2006, Founder Nita Belles was exposed to the devastating realities of human trafficking and established IOB in 2009. Mezzo Allies’ mission is to bridge the gap between current systems and family-controlled sexual exploitation victims. Sheri was groomed at the age of fifteen by her high school boyfriend’s father, trafficked for 7 years, and rescued by a woman named Pearl at an apartment mailbox.
She is the founder of the nonprofit – ‘Pearl at the Mailbox’ and on a mission to educate about child grooming, how it happens, how to spot and stop it before trafficking happens. She openly shares her journey.

Meals will be similar to 2024 options.
When registering, you will be asked to indicate any special dietary needs or allergies. The hotel will be advised of these requests. Most meals will offer options for the most common requests, such as gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian. Meals that require special preparation (such as kosher or vegan) must be requested in advance.
IMPORTANT: Conference meals are prepared in a commercial kitchen which is NOT allergen-free. If you have a life-threatening allergy, please prepare accordingly and have any necessary medications with you.
Due to the nature of the workshop content, all attendees must be 18 years or older to participate in the conference. This restriction applies to all educational activities, social events, meals and receptions.
Workshop presentations, if released by the speaker, will be available to registered attendees for a limited time on the JuST Conference website. Registered attendees will receive more information when they become available.
Complimentary internet access will be available in your guest room. Internet access in the conference center is available for purchase.

Be prepared to provide:
JuST is a professional training conference. Business casual or resort casual attire is recommended. Temperatures in meeting rooms tend to be cool, please bring a light jacket or sweater for your personal comfort. The resort is spread out in multiple buildings, and there may be a short outdoor walk between meeting rooms, so bring comfortable shoes!
